View Pending Charges, Usage Event Details, and Manual Charge Details

All pending charges can be viewed on the Pending Charges window, which can be accessed through the More menu on an Account Details window. Pending charges are listed by type under the associated detail tab on the Pending Charges window:

  • One-Time Charges — One-time charges from either an order that will be in the next bill cycle or are scheduled over a set period of time.

  • Usage Events — Activity usage events that have been added from a usage file in the Usage File Management Module (Rating & Billing), created in the Usage Module (Customer Billing application), or posted with API 2.0 (Usage Events) link to an external web site.

  • Manual Charges — Manual charges that have been created in the Customer Billing application (refer to Manual Charges).

Complete the following steps to view information about pending charges, including one-time, usage events, and manual charges, associated with the a billing account:

If you know the account number, click the Accounts tab, if visible. Use the Search field to find and select an account. Skip to this step. Refer to Search Feature for more information about using the Search feature.

  1. Select Customer Billing from the Gotransverse application menu Module menu icon.

    You may see a Customers and an Accounts tab or just the Accounts window, depending on the value for the Allow Multi-Customer Accounts Billing system setting. The Allow Multi-Customer Accounts system setting must be set to True to see both tabs. If this system setting is set to False, you will only see the Accounts window while in the Customers module. Refer to System Settings for more information about configuring system settings.

  2. Select a customer from the list or search for a customer from the Search field to open the Customer Summary window.

    To quickly access a customer or billing account, click thequick search icon icon on the title bar (on either the Customers or Accounts window) and enter part of the customer or billing account name. If you do not see the Accounts tab, you can still search for a billing account from the Customers window by entering part of the number in the Search field. You can also bookmark regularly-used pages. Refer to Search Feature for more information.

    Click the collapse icon icon in the left pane to hide it. Click the icon to open it.

    You can manage which columns display in any table with a Configure or Columns button by clicking the button and selecting desired columns. In addition. If the table includes a Filter button, you can filter the table contents. If the table includes an Export button, you can export visible table contents (up to 50) to a CSV (comma-separated values) file. Refer to Data Tables for more information about using these features.

  3. On the Customer Summary window, select an account under the Accounts detail tab to open the Account Details window.

  4. On the Account Details window, click the More tab, and select Pending Charges.

  5. On the Pending Charges window, click one of the detail tabs to view specific information for that type of pending charge.

    One-Time Charges, Usage Events, and Manual Charges Detail Tabs

    • One-Time Charges (shown above) — Lists all one-time prices for the recurring, Add-On, and One-Time products. One-Time Charges are view only.

    • Usage Events — Lists all usage events received by Gotransverse from the API.

      The Usage Event data table can be filtered. click the Filter button and select filters. Click Apply to apply filters.

      Select a usage event to open a Usage Event Details window, which includes detailed usage information.

      On this window, you can edit and void the usage event if desired. Refer to Edit Usage Event for a Pending Charge and Void Usage Event for a Pending Charge for more information.

      With API 2.0, you can also post, simulate, and void usage events, as well as retrieve existing records. Refer to the API 2.0 Help site link to an external web site for additional information about posting, simulating, and voiding usage events and retrieving existing records.

    • Manual Charges — Lists all pending manual charges created and posted. Manual charges that have not yet been posted are listed on the Manual Charges window (refer to View Manual Charge Details).

      Select a manual charge to open a Manual Charge Details window. Refer to Manual Charges for more information about creating manual charges.

      The Manual Charge Details window includes the manual charge information and the invoice, invoice item, and invoice item charge from which it was created. The Invoice and Invoice Item entries are links to their related details windows.
