Notification Management Module

The Notification Management module of the Setup application contains various types of messaging in Gotransverse, including interactions with external applications.

A notification is an optional feature that triggers an FTP action, an HTTP action, or an email. Notifications can make HTTP calls that send information to an external web service when triggered. Notification can also be configured to send customized information to customers through email. You can configure specific notification tasks to an action with several types of operations.

Most notifications are configured in the Notification Management module. However, you can also configure notification from the following areas:

Notifications must be enabled and set up with FTP, HTTP, or email actions that indicate how to distribute the notifications. These actions can be enabled separately.

An external application must be configured before you can configure an FTP or HTTP action. Refer to External Applications for more information.

Some notifications also include an approval operation that will trigger an approval when an associated action is taken.

Email Notification Distribution

Each email notification can be distributed to the following:

  • The billing account’s primary email address.

  • The dedicated, specific email address or distribution list.

  • BCC copy to a dedicated, specific email address or distribution list.

  • A copy of the email sent to one or more contacts on the billing account, identified by contact category.

Distribution is configured for each email notification. Multiple email notifications can be configured for each action.
