Payment Search and Payment Details

The Accounting Management Module and Accounting Transactions Module sections of this user guide are only applicable to those customers who have used these modules before January 1, 2022. As of January 1, 2022, functionality found in the Accounting Management and Accounting Transactions modules was replaced by the Revenue Management offering. Refer to Revenue Management for more information on using the Revenue Management application to manage general ledgers, chart of accounts, and posting rules.

Use the Payment Search section to find a payment by one or more of the listed search criteria. Results from the search display information about the payment, including active links to the Account Details and Payment Details windows.

  • Account — The billing account number associated with the payment. Enter the entire account number.

  • Charge Amount — Enter the entire charge amount.

  • Payment Status — Select a status from the drop-down list.

  • Currency — Select a currency or All from the drop-down list.

  • Payment Date From — Select a starting date from the calendar icon icon.

  • Payment Date To — Select an ending date from the calendar icon icon.

  • Payment Method — Select a payment method from the drop-down list.

Click Search when you have entered the relevant information. If results are found, they are listed under the Payment Search section.

  • Click the active link in the Account # column to open the Account Details window. Refer to View Billing Account Information for more information about this window.

    Click your browser’s back button to return to the Payment Search window.

  • Click the active link in the Payment ID column to open the Payment Details window.

    Payment Details Window

    The Payment Details window includes the following section:

    • Payment Information — Details about the payment.

    • Address Information — Address for the payment.

    • Payment Method Information — Details about the payment method used.

    • Custom Fields — Lists any custom fields. Custom fields are managed in the Setup application’s Custom Fields Module.

    • Payment Applications — Lists invoices to which the payment was applied. Click the Invoice number active link to open the Invoice Details window. Refer to View Invoice Details for more information about this window.

    • Payment Changes — Lists dates and amounts of the payment that was moved. Refer to Move Payment for more information on how to move a payment in the Customer Billing application.

    • Payment Refunds — Lists of refunds.

    • Payment History — Lists dates and changes to the payment.

Click Clear to clear search results.
