Create Posting Rule Set and Link Posting Rules

After all posting rules needed for an AR ledger are created, create a posting rule set. Posting rules can be linked to the new posting rule set.

Refer to Create Posting Rules for more information on creating posting rules.

Complete the following steps to create a posting rule set and link or unlink posting rules to it:

  1. Select Revenue Management from the Gotransverse application menu Module menu icon.

  2. Click Setup in the left pane.

    Click the collapse icon icon in the left pane to hide it. Click the icon to open it.

    You can manage which columns display in any table with a Configure or Columns button by clicking the button and selecting desired columns. In addition. If the table includes a Filter button, you can filter the table contents. If the table includes an Export button, you can export visible table contents (up to 50) to a CSV (comma-separated values) file. Refer to Data Tables for more information about using these features.

  3. After all posting rules needed for an AR ledger are created, select Create Posting Rule Set from the Setup drop-down menu.

  4. Enter information about the posting rule set.

    Draft rules cannot be added to a posting rule set. An active posting rule set can still be edited later to include more posting rules or exclude posting rules.

    • Rule Set Name — Enter a name for the rule set.

    • Status — Select either Active or Draft from the drop-down list.

    • Description — Enter a description of the rule set.

  5. Click Submit to save your posting rule set. A Posting Rule Set Details window displays with information about the new posting rule set, including Posting Rules, AR Ledgers, and History detail tabs.

  6. Click Link button in the Posting Rules detail tab to link posting rules to this set in a Link Posting Rules window.

    To configure which columns display in the table, click Configure to open a drop-down list. Select or deselect column names. Click Restore Defaults to reset to the default columns. Click outside the drop-down list to close it. You can also export table contents to a CSV file by clicking Export. Only the records shown in the current view (maximum of 50 records) are exported. To export more or all records, change the number of records shown per page or export each page.

  7. Select the posting rule or rules that you want to link to this posting rule set. You can filter the list by selecting filters shown on the left side of the window. Click Apply to apply the filters. Click Clear All and then Apply to clear filters.

  8. Click Link to link selected posting rules to this posting rule set. The link rule or rules display in the Posting Rules detail tab for the posting rule set.

  9. If you want to unlink any rule from the posting rule set, click the unlink icon icon in the Actions column for that rule.
