Recalculate Pending Charges
Pending charges are charges that are calculated but not yet invoiced. Pending charges with a date that falls within the Current Billing Period will be included in the next invoice created with the next bill cycle run. Invoices created from either On Demand Billing (in Accounts application) or Create and Run Bill On Demand Bill Batch (in Customer Billing application) will include any pending charges up to the invoice date.
The Pending Charges total amount does not include charges for recurring services, because recurring service charges are not calculated until the bill cycle run or on-demand billing is initiated.
You can recalculate pending charges on the Pending Charges Details window if any immediate changes to usage events, such as adding a new usage event or voiding an existing usage event, affect pending charges. After the pending charges are recalculated, the total shown in the Pending Charges field is updated on both the Pending Charges Details and the Account Details windows.
You can only recalculate pending charges in the Accounts application.
Complete the following steps to recalculate the total amount for pending charges on an account:

Perform an Account Search Module to locate the billing account.

Click the account number active link under the Account # column to open the Account Details window.

icon in the left pane to hide it. Click the
icon to open it.

On the Account Details window, in the Balance Information section, click the Details active link in the Pending Charges field to open the Pending Charges Details window.

On the Pending Charges Details window, click the Recalculate active link in the Pending Charges field.

If any immediate changes to usage events, such as adding a new usage event or voiding an existing usage event, the pending charges are recalculated and updated in the Pending Charges field.
The most accurate total for Pending Charges can be found on the Pending Charges Details window in the Customer Billing application. Refer to Pending Charges for more information about how to view pending charges in the Customers module.
