Add New Product

You can create a new product with basic information or one that includes more details. When creating a new product definition from the Product Catalog module’s Products window, select one of these options:

  • Basic — Create a product that includes type, category, name, introduction date, taxability, and price definitions. The saved product is available for sale.

  • Advanced — Create a product that includes basic information plus additional information, such as sales discontinuation date, SKU, product tags, mandating an agreement, rules, and identifiers. Does not include price definitions.

    If you select this option, the product will be saved in Draft status. You will also have to add a product price before making the product available for sale.

You can also create a new product by copying an existing product. In the Products section of the Product Catalog module, locate the product to copy and click Copy. Refer to Copy Product for more information.

Products can also be created in the Product Catalog application. Refer to Product Catalog for more information on creating and configuring products in the Product Catalog application.
