Debit Adjustments

A debit adjustment increases the customer’s balance due.

You can create a debit adjustment through the Customer drop-down menu of an open billing account (refer to Create Debit Adjustment). To view debit adjustments that you have already created, click the Adjustments tab in the associated Account Details window.

For instructions on searching for and opening a customer's billing account, refer to Search Feature.

When you create and post a debit adjustment, Gotransverse increases the amount owed by the billing account. The debit adjustment appears in the customer's next invoice, as well as on posting, and Gotransverse creates corresponding general ledger transactions.

After you create a debit adjustment, you must manually post it (refer to Post Debit Adjustment) for it to be included in the next bill cycle run. Before you post a debit adjustment, you can edit (refer to Edit Debit Adjustment) or delete it (refer to Delete Debit Adjustment). Once a debit adjustment is posted, you can reverse it (refer to Reverse Debit Adjustment) but not delete or edit it.
