Configure Taxation for Billing Hierarchy

The tax calculations for billing hierarchy invoices are impacted by the address used to calculate tax.

The Determines whether to use Billing or Service address for tax calculationsBilling system setting can be configured to set which of these addresses to use. You can select one of these options:

• BILLING_ADDRESS — Select to use a responsible account's billing address to determine the tax rate.

• SERVICE_ADDRESS — Select to use the service address to determine the tax rate. Taxes are calculated based on the first available address in order of priority:

  • Managed account Add-On service address

  • Managed account parent service address

  • Managed account billing account service address

  • Responsible account service address
