Running a General Ledger

Once you have created the General Ledger, added the Accounting year with periods, and created the collector run, you have to run the General Ledger to view the associated accounting transactions.

Running the GL

To run the General Ledger that you have created, use the following endpoint:

POST https://example.gotransverse.com/calypso/3/glruns

Request

{
  "gl_run_mode_id": 4,
  "ledger_id": 7
}

Response

{
  "id": 4,
  "gl_run_mode_id": 4,
  "ledger_id": 7,
  "status": "NOT_STARTED",
  "num_errors": 0,
  "run_trigger_type": "ON_DEMAND",
  "run_to_date": "2018-10-04T14:53:04Z"
}

Ensuring the GL is completed

To ensure that the GL run is successfully completed, make sure the the status of the GL run is COMPLETE and num_errors equals 0. To check it, retrieve the details on the executed GL run:

GET https://example.gotransverse.com/calypso/3/glruns

Response

{
  "id": 4,
  "gl_run_mode_id": 4,
  "ledger_id": 7,
  "date_started": "2018-10-04T14:53:05Z",
  "date_ended": "2018-10-04T14:53:11Z",
  "status": "COMPLETE",
  "num_errors": 0,
  "run_trigger_type": "ON_DEMAND",
  "run_to_date": "2018-10-04T14:53:04Z"
}

Once the GL is executed, you can proceed with General Ledger use cases.
