Notification Operations

Notifications must be enabled and set up with FTP, HTTP, or email actions that indicate how to distribute the notifications.

Some notifications also include an approval operation that will trigger an approval when an associated action is taken.

You must first configure an external application before you can configure an FTP or HTTP action. External applications are managed in the Setup application’s Notification Management module. Refer to External Applications for more information.

The following operations can be created for notifications:

  • Email Operation — An email notification that is sent to your customer or a designated individual. Use the email operation to send customized notifications at specified intervals based on a template.

  • HTTP Operation — An HTTP call to send information or requests to a defined URL. You can configure a URL with a User ID and password to enable integration with web services outside Gotransverse.

  • Approval Operation — Only available for Sales Order and Renewal Order notifications. When ordering a product, you can define if the order item requires an approval and the number of days after which the order item is automatically approved. The Approval Operation enables the approval.

  • FTP Operation — Only available for the Distribute Invoice notification. The FTP operation allows you to send a notification to a system over FTP.
