Currencies Module

The Currencies module allows you to manage currencies for your customers.

Gotransverse supports multiple currencies. With multi-currency support, you can do business in various local currencies. Currencies are used on invoices, orders, receipts, notifications, and anywhere else that uses currency. After multi-currency is configured, you can do the following:

  • Define your products for multi-currency, including discounts, price ranges, and agreements.

  • Create billing accounts including automatic payment methods with the desired currency.

  • Download the latest exchange rates with the currency conversion processor.

  • Run bill cycles in a configured currency and invoice the customer in the correct currency.

  • Configure the general ledger to post in a selected currency.

  • Configure new usage rules to convert currency during the rating process.

Gotransverse Revenue Management supports currencies enabled for your tenant.

The following features use multiple currency:

Features Using Multi-Currency
Feature Description

Accounts

Each billing account in Gotransverse must have a specified currency setting. This setting is primarily used to determine the invoice currency. Once an account currency has been set it can NOT be changed.

Account Categories

A currency can be associated with an Account Code so that any GL entry using that Account Code will be posted in the associated currency.

Additional Fees

When adding additional fees, you define the currency settings when you select a value from the currency list. Once the additional fees have been defined and activated, you cannot change the additional fee's currency settings.

Agreements

When adding an agreement, you define the currency settings when you select a value from the currency list. The currency setting will be used if and when termination charges are applied. Once an agreement has been activated, the currency setting cannot be updated.

API Integration

The Gotransverse API has been enhanced to use the correct currency when processing transactions.

Bill Cycle

The bill cycle currency must be specified in Gotransverse when creating new bill cycles. Once a bill cycle currency has been created it cannot be changed. When creating new billing accounts in Gotransverse, the available bill cycles are linked to the account currency. A billing account and its associated bill cycle must have the same currency.

Discount

When creating a new discount where the discount type is Flat, you are required to define the discount currency.

Invoice

When generating invoices, the invoice is produced in the currency set at the account level.

Payments

  • Payments - When adding a payment batch, you define the currency settings when you select a value from the currency list.

  • Late Payment Fees - Currency conversion is required when you define late payment fee rule sets in Gotransverse. When adding new late payment fee rules, you define the currency setting by selecting a value from the currency list. The currency setting is used if and when late fee charges are applied. Once the late payment rule has been activated, the currency setting cannot be updated.

Product Price

When creating or editing a product standard price, you define the currency setting by selecting a value from the currency list.

Usage Rules

Usage rules can be configured to reference currency conversion rate tables during the rating process. The Enable Currency Conversion As Part Of The Rating Process system setting is set to TRUE.
